SPACE AGE FUEL WIREFRAME — ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
PAGE CONTEXT

Audience: All users (legal / compliance + a11y)  |  Parent: Footer (Legal column)  |  Priority: Required — currently 404 on live site  |  Purpose: ADA liability reduction, WCAG 2.2 AA commitment, third-party embed disclosure, accommodation contact.

Required compliance page — currently a 404 on the live site and an active legal gap (the footer links to /accessibility site-wide). Establishes SAF's ADA commitment, discloses known third-party embed limitations (Mapbox on /locations, ADP on /careers), and provides an accommodations contact path. Final copy is generated after Phase 4 ww-site-audit findings are incorporated — what's disclosed here must match the actual measures taken in the build, so this page is finalized last.
Accessibility page is missing — active legal gap, must be live before launch This page currently 404s on the live site. The footer links to /accessibility site-wide. A missing accessibility statement is an active ADA liability gap — this is a hard launch gate.
Accommodations contact email — which address should we publish? Phone is confirmed: (503) 212-3900. The email address for accessibility accommodation requests needs Amanda's confirmation. Options: a dedicated address (accessibility@ or access@) or the general info@ / legal@ address. A dedicated address is preferable for ADA documentation.

Accessibility Statement

Space Age Fuel is committed to making our website accessible to everyone. This statement describes our current accessibility standards, known limitations, and how to contact us with questions or accommodation requests.

LEGAL CONTENT — ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT BODY

Our Commitment

Space Age Fuel is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone, and apply the relevant accessibility standards in our ongoing efforts.

We believe that every customer — whether filling up at the pump, managing a commercial fleet account, or applying for a driver position — deserves equal access to information and services on our website.

Conformance Status

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

[CONFORMANCE BADGE / STATEMENT — optional visual indicator: "Targeting WCAG 2.2 AA"]
Optional: Add a W3C conformance badge or styled callout block here at Phase 5 after audit runs.

Our site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. Known limitations are described in the section below.

Measures We've Taken

To support accessibility, Space Age Fuel has taken the following measures:

  • Built the site to semantic HTML standards using landmark roles and heading hierarchy
  • Ensured all interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with visible focus indicators
  • Provided descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
  • Maintained a minimum 4.5:1 text contrast ratio (WCAG AA) throughout the site
  • Ensured all form inputs have associated visible labels
  • Tested across major browsers and screen readers
  • Respected prefers-reduced-motion for users who prefer minimal animation

Third-Party Content

Our website includes content provided by third-party services that Space Age Fuel does not fully control. While we have made reasonable efforts to select accessible third-party tools and to configure them accessibly where possible, we cannot guarantee full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance for third-party interfaces.

Station Locator (Mapbox)

The interactive station locator map on our Locations page is powered by Mapbox. Accessibility limitations of the map interface are subject to Mapbox's own accessibility practices. Users who need station location information in an accessible format may contact us directly and we will provide location details by phone or email.

Driver Job Application (ADP)

Driver employment applications on our Careers page are processed through ADP. Accessibility of the ADP application interface is governed by ADP. Applicants who experience accessibility barriers in the application process are encouraged to contact us directly — we will work with you to ensure equal access to employment opportunities.

Feedback & Accommodations

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Space Age Fuel website. If you experience accessibility barriers on any page, or if you need information in an alternative format or an accommodation to access any service:

WIREFRAME NOTES — PHASE 5 QA CHECKLIST (not for production)
  • Run ww-compliance + wcag-audit-patterns at Phase 5 to generate final legal copy (don't ship wireframe text verbatim)
  • Confirm accessibility contact email with Amanda — placeholder uses [accessibility@spaceagefuel.com]
  • Confirm response-time SLA for accessibility feedback ("2 business days" is a placeholder)
  • Update "Last reviewed" date before each site release
  • Verify the "Measures Taken" list against actual Phase 4 build decisions — remove any that don't apply
  • Confirm whether progressive enhancement / JS fallback claim is accurate after build
  • Run axe automated scan + manual keyboard / screen-reader check before updating conformance language from "partially conformant" to "conformant"
  • If ADP is full iframe (OD-2), keep third-party disclosure as-is. If native fallback form is built, update the ADP entry to reflect that the SAF-controlled form is WCAG-conformant.
  • Mapbox disclosure stays regardless of OD-3 dataset delivery — Mapbox iframe is always a third-party control.
